Market Leadership

MGM International™ started operations in 2000. A pioneer in the carbon market, it has grown into one of the leading companies in the field, helping clients worldwide identify, design, develop and monitor greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction projects and programs.

In March 2005, the company was already recognized by the carbon industry as the "Best CDM & JI Project Developer" (Award presented at the Carbon Insights Conference in Amsterdam).

MGM International™ is one of the most experienced carbon project developers in the world, having identified and developed hundreds of emission reduction projects in countries in the Americas, Africa, Asia, Europe and Oceania . The company currently has around 200 projects at different phases of development in 21 countries and a variety of sectors/industries, both for the compliance (Clean Development Mechanism [CDM] and Joint Implementation [JI] projects within the Kyoto Protocol) and voluntary/pre-compliance markets.

In December 2006, MGM International™ joined forces with Morgan Stanley. This was the first time that a major Wall Street financial institution partnered with a project developer in the carbon market.
