Marco Monroy is the founder, President and CEO of MGM International.

Under Mr. Monroy’s leadership, MGM has become one of the foremost carbon project development companies in the industry and the first one to win “The best CDM/JI Project Developer” Award in 2005.

Back in the early years of the carbon market, he pioneered concepts such as success fee based compensation, local presence in developing countries, integrated teams of professionals (e.g., scientists, engineers, financiers, lawyers, translators) to offer clients “one-stop-shopping”, and innovative commercialization structures, including a diversified portfolio approach with significant benefits for both buyers and sellers.

Mr. Monroy is an attorney licensed to practice law in Colombia and the State of New York. Prior to establishing MGM International he worked as an advisor on climate change market mechanisms for the Japanese government and other private and public institutions. In 2002, the World Economic Forum named Mr. Monroy one of the 100 Global Leaders of Tomorrow (GLT).

Maria Pia Iannariello is the Chief Operating Officer of the MGM International Group. With the President, Marco Monroy, Maria Pia is one of the most recognized professionals in the Carbon Industy in the world. Maria Pia has eleven years of prefessional experience in the areas of international finance, international trade and enviromental economics in the private sector, multilateral institutions, NGOs and the academia. Maria Pia holds a B.Sc in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Texas, and a PhD in Economics from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

John Mackle earned his MBA degree with highest honors from Vanderbilt University and earned two Bachelor’s degrees from the University of Notre Dame. In addition, he studied Latin American Business in the Vanderbilt University and University of Florida Joint Executive Program and holds a Certificate in Latin American Business.

Mr. Mackle has extensive experience in finance in several roles; as a manager at Arthur Andersen; Chief Financial Officer and VP of Operations for LiveOps, Inc, where he was directly responsible for building and managing the operations of LiveOps from initial startup to over $18 million in revenue in 2004; and most recently as Director of Investment Banking at Ladenburg Thalmann (Ticker:LTS), where he managed projects for clients, including the valuation of privately held companies and business interests, limited partnership interests, intangible assets, intellectual property and restricted securities.

As CFO of MGM International, John is responsible for managing strategic initiatives of the Company, including equity investments, development of new business lines, implementation and monitoring of joint ventures and management of the MGM Carbon Portfolio.

Ms. Fern S. Watts is an Attorney licensed to practice law in the States of New York and Florida. Ms. Watts earned her JD from Harvard Law School and a BA from Barnard College, Columbia University.

Ms. Watts has more than 20 years experience in all types of corporate and finance transactions including public offerings, syndicated credit facilities, joint ventures and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining MGM International, Ms. Watts served as Chief Legal Officer of an AMEX-traded telecommunications company and prior to that was engaged in the private practice of law in New York and Florida, including ten years as a Shareholder of Greenberg Traurig, P.A.

As General Counsel of MGM International, Ms. Watts is responsible for the worldwide legal operations of the Company and its subsidiaries, and provides legal advice and counsel to senior management of the Company. Her specific duties include the day to day management of the global legal affairs of the Company including the review and negotiation of agreements with the Company's customers, partners, and vendors.

Jose is an Attorney and Economist from Rosario University in Bogotá, Colombia, with an MA in Economics and an LLM in International Law from American University in Washington, DC.

Jose started his tax career as an assistant to the Director of the Revenue Service in Bogotá, and worked as a Chief Tax Prosecutor for the Bogotá Revenue Service. Before becoming the Tax Director for the Latin American and Caribbean Region at AT&T, Jose worked for several years as an International tax consultant for Arthur Andersen and Deloitte and Touche advising U.S. and International telecommunications companies with investments in Latin America.

Jose Antonio Urteaga holds a degree in Economics (specializing in econometrics) from the National University of Mexico (UNAM), a Masters Degree in Hydrocarbon Administration and Economy from the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN), and a Certificate in Energy Economy and Planning, awarded by the Institute of Energy Economics of the Bariloche Foundation

Mr. Urteaga has 23 years of professional experience in the field of energy efficiency, designing, developing and operating projects and programs in the Mexican Institute of Petroleum and in FIDE (Private Trust Fund for Electricity Energy Efficency). He has acted as consultant in projects supported by UNPD, OLADE, IDB and WB, and has participated in technical assistance programs to design energy efficiency strategies in Panamá, El Salvador and Ecuador, Costa Rica, Peru, Argentina, Colombia and Thailand.

Jose Antonio Urteaga taught at the UNAM as well as at IPN, and was President of ATPAE (Association of Professionals in Energy Efficiency).

Mr. Urteaga is Vice President for Operations in MGM International.

Mr. Claudio Javier Lutzky is an Attorney licensed to practice law in the State of New York, USA and in Argentina, and holds an LLM in Law and Economics from George Mason University in Virginia, USA. 

Mr. Lutzky is currently pursuing doctorate studies in law in Buenos Aires and counts with 20 years of a combination of professional and academic experience in the legal field. He has worked as Deputy Secretary General for the University of Buenos Aires, as a Director for the Argentine Executive Branch and as a Counselor at the Argentine Embassy in Washington, D.C. He holds a professor position at the University of Buenos Aires School of Law.

Mr. Lutzky is Legal Counsel at MGM International, where he drafts and reviews contracts, memoranda and conducts due diligence analyses.

Mr. Panagiotis Tsoukalas is a licensed CPA and has received a Bachelor of Accounting from Florida State University, a Master of Accounting from the University of Miami, and a Master of Business Administration from Duke University.

Mr. Tsoukalas has worked for ten years in various accounting and finance fields where he has acquired vast experience as a financial analyst, a controller, and has managed finance, planning, credit and budgeting at various organizations. His well rounded experience allows him to understand the financial and accounting necessities of international firms of various sizes and lines of business. In addition to his specialized experience in the field of accounting and finance, Mr. Tsoukalas is well versed in technology as he has worked as an information and technology specialist and as a software consultant.

At MGM International, Mr. Tsoukalas acts as our company Controller in charge of managing global accounting related matters and compliance related documentation. Given his strong financial and technical abilities, he will also work with the company CFO on the analysis and budgeting aspects of projects and investments.
